PIKEVILLE, Ky. — Foul play is not suspected, after a woman’s body was found near Shelby Valley High School.

Pike County Coroner Kevin Hall says the discovery was made around 8 a.m. Saturday morning. He said the body of a 27-year-old woman was found in a car in a parking lot near the school’s football field.

Hall said the woman’s death was the result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
