Pike County house fire sends two to hospital

GREASY CREEK, Ky. –  A house fire early Monday morning in Pike County sent two people, including one firefighter to the hospital.  Just after midnight, the Greasy Creek Volunteer Fire Department was called to a structure fire on Shelby Dry Fork, and when they arrived they found the mobile home fully engulfed in flames.  The two occupants of the home both escaped through a bedroom window.  Both received minor cuts and bruises, but one was transported to the hospital for treatment.  Greasy Creek Fire Department Chief, Robert Kendrick was also transported to the hospital, and was treated for smoke inhalation, heat exhaustion and dehydration.  One pet was lost in the blaze and the home was a total loss.
