Pikeville, KY — The trial for a Pike County man charged with nine counts of trafficking in Cocaine wrapped up yesterday. And, the jury found him guilty on all counts. The Pike Commonwealth’s Attorney’s office told EKB News, 48-year-old Jody Scott of Little Hackney’s Creek was found guilty on nine counts of First-degree trafficking in a controlled substance for Cocaine, second offense. During the trial, which lasted most of this week, Kentucky State Police officials testified that between July and September of 2017, cocaine was purchased from Scott eight different times, all of it captured on video. KSP was assisted in the investigation by a drug task force out of Buchanan County, Virginia. Along with the guilty verdict, the jury recommended a 20-year sentence. Jody Scott was lodged in the Pike County Detention Center, where he will remain until his sentencing on May 22nd.
