Pike County, KY — The Island Creek Volunteer Fire Department responded to a structure fire yesterday morning shortly before 10 am. The blaze, at the Big Trailer Lot at 2227 Island Creek Road, was brought under control within 45 minutes. Fire Chief Randy Courtney reported no people where injured however the family dog did not survive. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
