PIKEVILLE, Ky. –  A Pike County mother on a mission to make shopping easier for families with special needs loved ones is celebrating another victory, this time on a national scale.
Cindy Moore first got our attention a few years ago when she convinced a Pikeville Food City store to purchase a Caroline’s Cart, which is specially designed for those shopping with a special needs child or adult.  Since then, Moore has continued her campaign, and all Food City stores now have the carts, as does the Pikeville WalMart and Lowe’s.  And, last week, she received news that every Lowe’s in the United States will soon be getting a Caroline’s Cart.  Moore says she hopes to be announcing another local retailer soon that will also be offering the use of a Caroline’s Cart to its shoppers.
