
PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Pike County man was arrested for drug trafficking after leading police on a short chase.
Kentucky State Police received a tip Thursday night concerning the location of Joshua Allen, 26, of Pikeville, who was wanted on multiple warrants.
He was found driving along U.S. 23 at Shelby Valley, but when troopers attempted to pull him over, but he refused to stop. That prompted a chase which lasted a short time before he finally pulled over.
Police arrested him and then found meth, marijuana and pills in the car, along with two guns. Allen reportedly admitted all of the items were his.
He was arrested for trafficking in meth, marijuana and pills, along with fleeing police and a pair of traffic violations.
