UPDATE — James Crabtree was arrested in willi Friday evening by the Mingo County Sheriff’s Office

WARFIELD, Ky. — The hunt for a Pike County man, who was wanted for a shooting in South Williamson last month, has now intensified following a home invasion early Friday morning.
James William Crabtree, 24, of South Williamson, was already the suspect in a shooting March 21. Police believe Crabtree shot Phillip May during an altercation. May’s injuries were not considered life-threatening.
Crabtree had not been captured early Friday morning, when the Martin County Sheriff’s Office says he broke into a home on Riverfront Road, near the Pike and Martin county line, and stabbed an occupant inside.
The victim’s injuries are said to be serious.
Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for Crabtree. They say he should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. They ask if you spot him, to call 911 immediately.
