PIKEVILLE, Ky. –  A Pikeville High School senior has recently been named a National Merit Finalist, an award given only to 15 thousand high school seniors in the country.   As a National Merit Scholarship Finalist, Cami Gaunt will receive a minimum of twenty five hundred dollars per year, renewable for four years. That amount will vary depending on which college or university she chooses to attend. Cami Gaunt is the only public high school student in eastern Kentucky to receive this prestigious award in 2019.
