UPDATE – Police have identified the victim in Monday’s shooting death as 58 year old Mike Jones of Flat Gap.

FLAT GAP, Ky. – Kentucky State Police is investigating an apparent shooting death yesterday in the Flat Gap community of Johnson County.  The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office and KSP responded to a home on Dixon Branch just before 8pm after someone called 9-1-1 reporting a shooting.  Not many details are being released at this time.  EKB News will continue to follow this developing story.
