Police: Man high on meth during break-in

CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — A man was arrested in Logan County for allegedly breaking and entering into a home while under the influence of meth.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home on Thunder Road in Chapmanville while a man was allegedly in the process of breaking in. According to police, upon deputies’ arrival, James Bradley Davis, 37, was located and detained.

Police say Davis had a half a gram of meth in the front pocket of his pants and appeared to be under the influence of meth. Davis was lodged in the Southwestern Regional Jail in Holden. He was charged with breaking and entering and possession of methamphetamine.

Police say the home was occupied by two 18-year-old females and two juvenile males at the time of the incident.

The Chapmanville Police Department, Logan Police Department and the West Virginia State Police assisted at the scene.
