Police Seek Public’s Help in Robbery

PERRY COUNTY – Police are investigating an early-morning robbery Sunday at the Hazard Holiday Inn Express. Shortly after 3 in the morning, a man wearing jeans and a dark hooded sweatshirt and ski mask walked into the motel, brandishing a knife. He reportedly struck the clerk in the head, then grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot. The suspect is described as a white male, 6 feet tall with a thin build.
