A man is on the run from sex abuse charges and officials believe it will be difficult to find him.
41-year-old Howard Prado, whose address was listed as Williams Hollow Road in Pikeville, was indicted last week in Pike County on three counts of first-degree sex abuse. The indictment stems from an investigation into abuse that allegedly occurred between January and April of 2017.
Pike Commonwealth’s Attorney Rick Bartley said the investigation by Pikeville Police was complicated by a language barrier between investigators and Prado. Bartley said Prado is now on the run.
He also said Prado has no social security number, has likely left Kentucky and will be difficult to capture.
The charges Prado faces are Class D felony counts, punishable by up to five years in prison each.
