Many throughout the region took time Friday to remember a fallen Pikeville Police Officer killed last March.

Friday, January 11th or 1-11 was marked as Officer Scotty Hamilton Day to coincide with Hamilton’s badge number 111.

Several people gathered at the Pikeville Police Department at 1-11 this afternoon for a moment of silence and to remember him.

Hamilton was remembered throughout the day with many people, including students and staff of several schools, wearing blue in honor of him.
