Floyd County, KY — Various Law Enforcement agencies participated in a traffic safety checkpoint Wednesday on Kentucky 80 near Kinzers Drilling. Kentucky State Police Trooper from Post 9, Floyd County Sheriff’s Deputies and Officers with the Martin City Police Department participated and during that checkpoint, around 1:00 AM, Martin City Police arrested 35-year-old Nathan J. Hamilton of Teaberry and charged him with Possession Controlled substance, Meth. Hamilton was also arrested on an outstanding bench warrant for failure to pay fines in Floyd County. Hamilton was lodged in the Floyd County Detention Center.
