Pikeville, KY — Motorists may experience very minor delays the next few mornings as structural safety inspections of overhead sign support structures, high mast lighting poles and traffic signal masts began today. According to Kentucky Transportation Highway District 12 officials, the inspections began Monday morning (April 29th) and will take 10-12 working days to complete. The inspections began in the Paintsville area and will proceed south on U.S. 23 to the Jenkins area. Inspections will also take place on U.S. 119, KY 3174 (new U.S. 460) and KY 80. Any traffic delays will be few and brief according to officials.
