Seniors at Shelby Valley High School can celebrate their graduation with a parade in their honor.
On Sunday, May 10, graduates at Shelby Valley can take part in a graduation parade beginning at 3 p.m. Graduates can begin lining up at 2 p.m. in the football parking.
The parade will depart Shelby Valley High School at 3 p.m. and will turn right onto U.S. 23, exiting the highway at the North Robinson Creek exit near Quality Foods. The parade will then travel on Ky. Route 122 to Virgie and then on Ky. 610 toward Dorton School. The parade will then travel back along Ky. 610 to Virgie and onto Penny Road before re-entering U.S. 23 and concluding at Shelby Valley High School.
Social distancing guidelines must be followed during the parade event. Those in the community are encouraged to wave, clap and cheer for the graduates as they take part in the parade.
