UPDATE, 7:15 p.m. — Sheriff Hunt has confirmed that an arrest has now been made, but not directly connected to the shooting. Hunt said a woman was arrested on a charge of felon in possession of a firearm.

SECOND UPDATE, 10:30 a.m. — Court records indicate the woman arrested at the scene of the shooting was Cora Brittany Little, 34, of David.

DAVID, Ky. — A Floyd County man was seriously injured in shooting Wednesday evening.

Sheriff John Hunt confirms to Mountain Top News that the man suffered a single gunshot wound at a home along Route 404 at David.

Contacted just before 6 p.m., Hunt said police have identified and accounted for all parties at the scene at the time of the incident, and they were being interviewed that time.

The victim was airlifted to a hospital for treatment.

Police remain on the scene at this hour. Hunt said there is no active threat to the community.
