Third COVID-19 case confirmed in Mingo County

WILLIAMSON, W.Va. — The Mingo County Health Department is confirming the county’s third case of COVID-19.

In a statement issued Monday morning, the health department said the latest COVID-19 patient is a 25-year-old male who is asymptomatic. The patient is isolating at home and the health department is conducting contact tracing for those who may have come into close contact with him.

All close contacts are being asked to self-quarantine, the statement said, and they will be monitored for symptoms.
