WILLIAMSON, W.Va. — A third drive-through COVID-19 testing event is planned in Mingo County.
According to a statement from the Mingo County Health Department, the county’s third drive-through COVID-19 testing event will take place Thursday, April 30 at the Kermit City Hall. The Kermit testing will follow previous drive-through testing events in Williamson and Gilbert.
According to the statement, only those meeting certain criteria will be tested. Those include patients experiencing symptoms; those working in healthcare, public safety, or those working in critical infrastructure like grocery stores, restaurants, shelters, gas stations, public utilities, childcare, or correctional facilities; those 60 or older; those with underlying health conditions or those who are immunocompromised; or those who are currently pregnant.
Patients will be screened prior to testing.
