Pike County, KY — A Pike County man was killed yesterday in what police are calling a freak accident. Kentucky State Police officials say yesterday just after 2:30pm, Troopers were dispatched, along with EMS and the Elkhorn City Fire Department to Elkhorn Truck Parts on Regina Belcher Highway. 9-1-1 calls were reporting a tire had exploded while being serviced and had severely injured someone. Crews arrived to find that 47-year-old Donald Belcher of Elkhorn City had been fatally injured. Belcher was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Pike County Coroner’s office.
