Two Arrested After High Speed Chase In Floyd County

Thursday morning, an attempted traffic stop by a state trooper turned into a high speed pursuit through Floyd County.

It began on US 23 when the trooper attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 30 year old James Sexton. However, Sexton refused to stop, leading troopers on a high speed chase on KY 404, then onto KY 1210. Sexton was able to avoid one road block with spike strips across the road, but was apprehended a short time later after losing control and crashing his vehicle.

James Sexton was arrested along with his passenger, 29 year old Christopher Sexton. Both were lodged in the Floyd County Detention Center.
