Pike County, Ky: A woman in Pike County already under indictment in a robbery case is facing new charges after being indicted again this week. 25-year-old Kaylee Damron, of Powells Creek, was indicted on charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance, DUI and possession of drug paraphernalia after she was allegedly found with meth. A man arrested with Damron, 36-year-old Harold Curtis Chaney, who is currently on parole from a previous drug conviction, was also indicted on possession and paraphernalia charges. Commonwealth’s Attorney Rick Bartley said both are now looking at significant prison time.
“What makes this case a little unique is he has just been released from prison on parole from drug charges. So he is still on parole; probably going back to prison. She is out on bond from a pretty serious charge where her husband and another guy robbed a convenience store. So here she is looking at going back to jail for being out on bond, going to prison. Here he is looking at going back. What do they do? Get out and get high rip up and down the road , get some needles, get some meth. It just shows you how this meth is messing with peoples minds. Nothing they do is logical anymore; all it involves is getting meth, getting high. They don’t care for the consequences”
Both Kaylee Damron and Harold Chaney remain lodged in the Pike County Jail.
