Pike County, Ky: A Pike County man is facing felony charges following an alleged DUI-involved crash Thursday morning. 47-year-old Kerby Holbrooks of Rockhouse was arrested after he collided with a vehicle on U.S. 23 near Pikeville High School, knocking the other vehicle on its side and injuring the driver. Holbrooks allegedly fled from the scene and while being pursued by police on-foot, he allegedly ate several pills. According to court documents, after he was captured, Holbrooks told Pikeville Police he fled because his license had been suspended. He was also allegedly found with more pills on his person. In addition to second-offense DUI and felony fleeing or evading police, Holbrooks was charged with felony leaving the scene of an injury accident and misdemeanor charges of tampering with evidence, failure to render aid, possession of a controlled substance and driving without a license. According to the booking log at the Pike County Detention Center, Holbrooks was booked in, but released Thursday evening about 13 hours after the crash after posting a $500 cash bond.
