Two killed in Breathitt County crash

Fatal-CrashNOCTUR, KY.– According to Kentucky State Police, it happened in the Noctur community this morning when 35-year old Jimmy Clemons lost control of a 2005 Ford pickup truck on Airport road, went over an embankment and flipped into Quicksand Creek. Clemons along with his uncle 42- year old Calvin Clemons, both of Hardshell, were pronounced dead at the scene by Breathitt County Coroner George Griffith. Officials believe the truck was in the water for several hours before being found. Neither of the men was wearing seatbelts. Both bodies were sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort with toxicology reports pending. Jackson Rescue Squad, Arrow-Med Ambulance and McIntosh Ambulance all assisted at the scene. The crash remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police.
