CROWN, W.Va. — Two people were killed in a Logan County crash over the weekend.

It happened around 9:15 Sunday night on Route 16, Buffalo Creek Road, at Crown.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office says a vehicle driven by Thomas Donnelly, 31, of Accoville, crashed head-on into a vehicle driven by Marlene Evans, 63, of Lorado. Deputies say the crash is still being investigated, but it appears that Donnelly’s vehicle crossed the center line.

Eveans died at the scene, while a passenger in her car, Amie Copley, was severely injured and flown to Cabell Huntington Hospital.

Donnelly was taken to Logan Regional Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
