Two officers shot during protests in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Protests broke out in the streets of Louisville, following Wednesday’s decision by a grand jury not to file homicide charges against officers involved in the shooting death of Breonna Taylor.

Around 8:30 p.m., police responding to reports of shots fired found themselves being targeted by gunfire. Two officers were hit and taken to the hospital.

Both officers are expected to recover.

Police have a suspect in custody.
