LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Protests broke out in the streets of Louisville, following Wednesday’s decision by a grand jury not to file homicide charges against officers involved in the shooting death of Breonna Taylor.
Around 8:30 p.m., police responding to reports of shots fired found themselves being targeted by gunfire. Two officers were hit and taken to the hospital.
Both officers are expected to recover.
Police have a suspect in custody.
Neither the suspect nor the officers officers have been identified at this time.
