Wayland, KY — The death investigation Kentucky State Police were conducting in Floyd County has now turned into a murder investigation. According to Kentucky State Police at the Pikeville Post, the body found in a shallow grave in the Wayland community has been identified as 26-year-old Jordan C. Tackett from East Point. Tackett was the focus in a missing persons case opened by KSP in February of this year. Tackett’s body was found buried in the backyard of a residence. Troopers have arrested 44-year-old Wesley Martin of Wayland and have charged him with murder in connection with this case. Martin is lodged in the Floyd County Detention Center.
