UPDATE: Man Stabbed To Death

Chapmanville, WV — Chapmanville Police have released more information regarding a fatal stabbing that occurred Monday night in Logan County, West Virginia. According to a press release, when officers arrived, they found Larry Toney inside the residence unresponsive with multiple stab wounds. Larry Toney was pronounced deceased at the scene on Salem Boulevard. Larry Toney’s brother, Harold Toney was located at a neighboring residence, also suffering from multiple stab wounds. Harold told officers that his brother had stabbed him first and he grabbed the knife and stabbed Larry back. Officers report that the altercation was over Harold Toney stabbing a dog to death. Harold Toney was transported to a nearby hospital. No charges have been filed at this time as the incident is still under investigation. Deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene.
