Authorities have released the identity of the person found dead following a shooting in Pikeville.
Pike County Deputy Coroner Zeb Hampton told EKB News Tuesday that the person killed in the shooting at Sunny Lane in Pikeville was identified as 21-year-old Amari Hall, of Detroit.
Hampton said Hall was shot multiple times, and his body was sent to the state Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for autopsy, which has already been completed. Hall was one of three known gunshot victims found by police at the scene. The other two men with gunshot wounds suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Kentucky State Police is in charge of the investigation and is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a blue Chrysler 300 sedan which could be connected to the shooting. No arrests have been made at this time.
Hampton said Hall has no known local next of kin who would have been notified about his death.
