Frankfort, KY — Kentucky’s chief election official is expecting slightly over 30 percent voter turnout next Tuesday for General Election 2019. Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes says she is expecting about 1 million voters, or 31 percent of the state’s 3.5 million registered voters, to turn up at the polls November 5th. Grimes is basing the prediction on absentee ballot totals. If the prediction proves to be correct, the voter total would slightly edge out 2015’s General Election, when 30.7 percent of registered voters turned out.
