Prestonsburg, Ky: Many people see Sunday as a day of rest, but the Prestonsburg Police Department was busy yesterday, making arrests in a pair of drug cases. The first incident happened in the early morning hours, when two officers came across a suspicious vehicle parked on the side of road at Big Branch of Bull Creek. As they approached the car, they noticed the occupants trying to hide something. After further investigation, they found more than 20 grams of meth in the car and nearly $3,000 in cash. Arrested were Jessie Craft and Elizabeth Skeens, both of Prestonsburg. They are each charged with trafficking in meth and other charges. Later that afternoon, Prestonsburg Police investigated complaints of a marijuana growing operation at a residence on Cliff Road. When they checked it out, they found 267 marijuana plants growing on a back porch. William Osborne was arrested and charged with second offense cultivating marijuana.
