LOUISA, Ky. – A West Virginia woman was arrested Monday during a traffic stop that resulted in drug charges.
Louri McKinney, 41, of Crum, West Virginia, was arrested during a traffic stop in Louisa when officers with the Louisa Police Department said they saw that the vehicle McKinney was a passenger in had a license plate that wasn’t properly illuminated. Police gave her a verbal warning, and she then let officers search her car. The male driver also gave consent for a search.
The arrest citation listed a large amount of drugs and drug paraphernalia was found during the search, including a cut green straw, needles and syringes, a pink rubber container, and a white bag. Police also uncovered multiple clear baggies and four white pills in cigarette cellophane.
According to the arrest citation, McKinney initially said her name was Stephanie Jude, but later told them her name was actually Louri McKinney.
McKinney was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (Fentanyl), possession of drug paraphernalia, and controlled substance prescription not in proper container. She is lodged at the Big Sandy Detention Center.
