PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A former Wheelwright preacher accused of possessing and distributing child pornography is expected to enter a guilty plea to charges in a federal indictment.

David Glenn Boyd, 54, was indicted in September on one count each of possession and distribution of child pornography. He initially pleaded not guilty in the case.
However, in a motion filed by his attorney yesterday, Boyd asked to change his plea, saying he has reached a deal with the government.
U.S. District Judge Karen Caldwell scheduled his rearraignment hearing for Dec. 8.
The federal charges came after a Floyd County grand jury indicted Boyd March 7 on a charge of first-degree distributing a matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor. He has pleaded not guilty to that charge. A status hearing for that case is scheduled for Dec. 7.
A Wheelwright native, Boyd served as pastor of Wheelwright Baptist Church from 2012 until January of this year. He also helped found the Wheelwright Youth Fellowship Center in 1998.
