WARFIELD, Ky. — A Martin County woman has been charged with first-degree robbery, after allegedly holding up a drugstore at knifepoint.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office says 43-year-old Marlena Evans walked into the Warfield Prescription Center on March 9, brandishing a large knife and demanding a bottle of Xanax.

Once the pharmacist handed over the pills, police say she then poured the entire bottle in her mouth. She collapsed shortly thereafter and was taken to hospital.

She was arrested Monday, after she was released.
