A Pike County woman is killed in crash Friday in Ransom.

Kentucky State Police say a vehicle was traveling south on Kentucky 319 when the driver lost control and struck an embankment before it overturned into a ditch.

The driver was transported to Williamson ARH for their injuries.

The passenger in the vehicle, 69-year-old Betty Jo Blankenship of Chapman Fork in Majestic, was pronounced dead at the scene.

This collision is under the investigation of Trooper Maynard.
