WV Statewide Unemployment Numbers Released

Charleston, WV — Statewide unemployment numbers for West Virginia have been released and the rate is up slightly in November. According to statistics released by WorkForce West Virginia, the state’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate increased to 4.9 percent in November which is up one-tenth of a percentage point from October’s number. The national unemployment rate decreased to 3.5 percent in November which is down one-tenth of a percentage point from October’s number. County unemployment numbers for West Virginia will be released Friday, December 27th.
