19 charged with solid waste violations in Pike County

PIKEVILLE, Ky. –  Pike County’s new Solid Waste Enforcement Officer is finding success, both in locating people violating the county’s solid waste ordinances and in taking them to court.  A little over a month ago, former Pikeville Police officer Bruce Anderson took the lead for the county investigating illegal dumps and identifying property that must be cleaned up. And, Pike County Judge Executive Ray Jones says things are moving in the right direction.  So far, there have been 19 people charged in Pike County District Court and 2 convictions.
Anyone wishing to report an illegal dump is encouraged to do so by calling the Pike County Judge Executive’s office. Callers can remain anonymous.
