
LOUISA, Ky. — Five Louisa residents are in jail on organized crime charges, following a drug investigation by the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies had a home under surveillance on Thursday as part of a drug investigation, when they pulled over a car in the area and found narcotics. They then obtained a search warrant for the home, where they reportedly discovered meth, pills, scales, guns, money and drug ledgers.
Jeffery Harper, 50; April Ann Harper, 37; Timothy Harper, 20; James Kise, 53; and Heather Savage, 44, all of Louisa were all arrested and charged with engaging in organized crime.
All are being held in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center, in Paintsville.
