
PAINTSVILLE, Ky. — A traffic stop resulted in two Johnson County men being taken to jail on drug charges.
Deputies pulled over Darren Ray Davis, 51, of Staffordsville, just before midnight, Sunday, for a number of traffic violations, and spotted a cup that appeared to contain meth residue.
During a subsequent search, deputies found Davis with more than 25 grams of meth. He was arrested on a charge of meth trafficking, as well as possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.
The officers also searched a passenger in the car, Gregory Vanhoose, 57, of Meally, and found another gram of meth. He was also arrested on possession charges.
