PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Floyd County man who was arrested following a drug raid back in September has now been indicted by a federal grand jury.

Joshua Vajda, 35, of Keathley Branch Road, was arrested Sept. 12, after Kentucky State Police executed a search warrant at his home and seized more than a pound of meth and five handguns.

He has now been charged with two counts of distributing meth, possession of more than 500 grams of meth with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The possession with intent and using a gun in a drug crime could each result in a life sentence, if he is convicted.

Court records indicate he is currently being held in the Floyd County Detention Center. He is scheduled to appear in court for arraignment Dec. 20.
