PIKEVILLE, Ky. — Two Floyd County men are in jail, after allegedly ambushing another man in Pikeville and holding him prisoner.
Pikeville Police say Stephen Hamilton, 24, of Teaberry, and Levi Tackett, 33, of McDowell, lay in wait in a Kentucky Avenue apartment, waiting for the third man to visit a woman who lives there. When he arrived, Hamilton and Tackett allegedly took his gun and held him at gunpoint.
When police arrived, they say Hamilton ran out the back door, while Tackett used the distraction to try to flee in a vehicle. Both men were quickly apprehended.
Police found the victim bleeding and with injuries to his head and face.
Hamilton and Tackett were arrested and charged with unlawful imprisonment, assault and other charges.
