PIKEVILLE, Ky. — A Johnson County man arrested last month on drug trafficking and gun charges has now been charged in federal court, as well.

Edgar Castle, 53, of Sitka, was one of three men arrested when sheriff’s deputies raided his home last month. He was also the primary target of the raid, as the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office accuses him of being a mid-to-upper-level drug dealer.

Now he is charged in federal court with conspiracy to distribute more than 500 grams of meth, distribution of meth, and possession of meth with the intent of distributing it.

Castle is currently being held in the Pike County Detention Center.
