PIKEVILLE, Ky. — The city of Pikeville has announced the permanent closure of the intersection between Hambley Boulevard and Wilana Court, effective Tuesday morning.

The intersection provides access from Hambley Boulevard to Hibbard Street and Wilana Court. The intersection between Hibbard Street and Wilana Court will not be affected.

The closure is part of the effort to construct a new street that will provide straight-line access from Hambley Boulevard to Pikeville Medical Center.
