VOLLEYBALL: LADY JAGS COME OUT ON TOP AGAINST PERRY CENTRAL & OTHER AREA SCORES

It was all Floyd Central last night as the Lady Jaguars defeated the Perry County Central Lady Commodores 3-0 in volleyball action.

Floyd Central took the match with sets of 25-16, 25-19, 25-17.

Offense was pretty evenly spread between the Lady Jaguars. Junior Caidence Lafferty had eight kills and one serving ace. Senior Rylee Daniels had six kills and three serving aces. Sophomore Reagan Laferty had five kills and two blocks. Senior Lydia Wallace had an impressive 20 assists. 

The win moves the Lady Jaguars to 6-6 for the season. They will be in action again against Lawrence County on the road Thursday, Sept. 16. Action starts at 6 p.m.

In other area volleyball action, Paintsville beat Belfry 3-0, Phelps sailed past Mingo Central 3-0, Tug Valley came out victorious over Pike Central 3-0 and Johnson Central beat Magoffin County 3-0.
