Paintsville’s basketball standout Kylie Kinner reaches career 3K point mark

Paintsville Tigers’ two-sport star, Kylie Kinner just reached a milestone only four other girls’ basketball players in the 15th region have accomplished.

Kinner scored her 3,000th point over the weekend in the Tigers’ 75-63 win over Floyd Central, advancing them to the quarter finals of the 15th Region Tournament.

Kinner has led Paintsville to a 22-10 record, averaging nearly 28 points and 8 rebounds per game. Kinner is not only an elite scorer, she is an outstanding shot blocker and playmaker.

And this isn’t the only 3,000 mark Kinner will likely close in on.

A must-watch player in the state of Kentucky in both basketball and volleyball, he junior is on her way to surpassing 3,000 kills in her volleyball career. By the time she graduates high school she will have one of the best resumes of any two-sport athlete in the country.

You can watch Kinner and the Tigers on Tuesday, March 3 at the Appalachian Wireless Arena, where the Tigers will take on the Belfry Pirates at 6:30 p.m. If you can’t make it to watch it live, Mountain Top Sports will have coverage of the 15th Region Tournament on 96.5 WXCC and 93.1 WDHR. You will not want to miss this tournament!
