FRANKFORT, Ky. — The state did not provide an update to coronavirus statistics on Thanksgiving, but the night before showed cases continuing to surge throughout the commonwealth.
The latest numbers show more than 3,400 cases reported on Wednesday, bringing the total to more than 166,000.
Twenty-six more Kentuckians have died, raising the death toll to 1,835.
More than 1,700 people are currently hospitalized with COVID-19, including 409 in intensive care, and 216 on ventilators.
The state’s positivity rate is currently 8.88 percent.
