PIKEVILLE, KY.– The Pikeville City Commission held a specially called meeting Friday to take that next step in making the promise of new jobs a reality. Tanker truck manufacturer Silverliner officially became the very first tenant of Kentucky Enterprise Industrial Park
“What the Commission did in this meeting was to approve the final document between the city and Silverliner to make this project completely official. Chris Tomlinson, the owner, is a local guy and I know through talking with him that one of his priorities would certainly be hiring local people, but also those guys that have had to move and move away from their families and that want to come back home. He wants to be able to give them the opportunity to come back home.
Silverliner is looking to hire 50 employees with a starting pay of 50,000 dollars a year. The deadline to turn in those applications is February 28th.
