Alleged knife attack lands woman in jail

GARRETT, KY.–A Floyd County woman is behind bars after an alleged knife attack Thursday night.

It happened at a West Garrett Road residence where 50-year old Teresa Howard had allegedly been in an argument with a man when she grabbed a knife cut his wrist. Howard claimed the man had cut himself. However, officers concluded that she in fact assaulted the man with the knife and placed her under arrest.

Howard now faces a 1st degree assault charge which is a class B felony, punishable by up to 20 years in prison.
