Alleged repeat shoplifter now facing robbery charge

robbery-harold-gevedonAn alleged shoplifter was arrested Tuesday morning after allegedly attempting to steal from the same store he was reported to have stolen from just the night before.

50-year-old Harold Gevedon was arrested Tuesday after Coal Run Police responded to Magic Mart, where Gevedon was allegedly recognized by store employees as being the same person they saw stealing from the store the night before. When confronted by police, Gevedon allegedly ran and had to be taken down by force by the responding officers.

Gevedon was charged with second-degree robbery, and was lodged in the Pike County Detention Center. Arrest warrants out of Letcher County were also served on him at the time of his arrest.
