A recent donation from Highlands ARH Regional Medical Center will provide kids with a public, outdoor amenity to enjoy with their friends. The newly acquired playground equipment will not restrict any child with a handicap or disability. Mayor of Prestonsburg Les Stapleton says that one of his dispatchers noticed the playground equipment wasn’t being used and inquired about obtaining it and placing it in a new location. Stapleton says that he is thankful for the donation to the city because it will allow kids to be outside more, help promote a healthy lifestyle at a young age, and give kids who might be handicapped or disabled to enjoy a great time outdoors with their friends.
